Airport To Airport
What Does Airport To Airport Mean?
Airport to airport is a term describing when cargo is transported between airports and does not stop at any other location.
How Does Transporting Cargo By Airport To Airport Work?
After a shipper has arranged for delivery of items to a consignee using the air cargo services of a courier and has completed all necessary paperwork, the items will be packaged, according to the requirements of the courier the shipper has selected. The courier will either pick up or collect the items and transport them to an air cargo terminal, such as Manchester's World Freight Terminal. Here, the items will undergo checks to ensure that the goods are safe for transport and all paperwork will be double-checked. Once the goods have been cleared for transport, the items will be stored on a pallet and loaded onto an aeroplane.
Once the aeroplane has landed at its destination, cargo will be unloaded, and further security and paperwork checks will be made, before the carrier starts processing the goods through its delivery chain, in order for the items to successfully reach the consignee.
